Xalatan - synthetic drug used to treat glaucoma.
Xalatan produced in the form of transparent colorless 0, 005% eye drops.
1 ml contains 50 mg of active substance - latanoprost. Excipients - Sodium dihydrogen phosphate (monohydrate), benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen phosphate (anhydrous), distilled water. The plastic droppers-bottles of 2, 5 ml.
The active substance Xalatan has antiglaucoma action, increasing the outflow of aqueous humor. At therapeutic doses of Xalatan drops sufficiently safe and have no effect on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
Xalatan takes effect within 3-4 hours, reaches a maximum effect after 9-12 hours and keeping its effect within days.

Xalatan is contraindicated in children under the instruction of 18 years, as well as in case of hypersensitivity to the drug.
