Pharmacological action Sparflo

Sparflo - bactericidal antimicrobial agent with broad spectrum of action belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. It inhibits DNA gyrase microorganisms, prevents replication of bacterial DNA. Has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive organisms during fission, and also on Gram - during dividing and quiescent period.

Sparflo blocks transcription of the genetic material of bacteria, without which they can not be normal metabolism, resulting in a rapid decrease in the ability of bacteria to divide. When using the drug were found Sparflo development of cross-resistance to other antibiotics, not belonging to the group of inhibitors of DNA gyrase. This quality makes Sparflo highly active against bacteria resistant to penicillins, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, cephalosporins.

Unlike analogue has Sparflo postantimikrobnym effect - bacteria do not multiply within 0.5 - 4 hours of complete release of the drug from the plasma.

Pharmacokinetics Sparflo

After receiving the internal Sparflo absorbed about 90%. At a dose of 400 mg, the maximum plasma concentration occurs within 3-6 hours, the drug concentration in tissues at 2-12 times higher than in plasma. The concentration in serum is linearly dependent on the size of the dose

Adoption Sparflo with food or milk does not affect the extent of absorption, but slows down its speed and the maximum concentration in the blood comes about half an hour later.

Sparflo well distributed throughout the body tissues except fat-rich tissues and nerve tissues. The high degree of concentration is detected in alveolar macrophages.

Sparfloxacin is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the feces about 40%. The half-life of 16-30 hours.

In patients with renal insufficiency observed increase in half-life. Also defined percentage reduction in output by the kidneys, the presence of chronic renal failure.
