Pharmacological action

Pentalgin has antipyretic, analgesic, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect. The therapeutic effect of the drug due to the properties of the active ingredients that make up Pentalgin:

  • Naproxen refers to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and has an analgesic, antiinflammatory and antipyretic action pronounced that is associated with normalization of prostaglandin synthesis;
  • Drotaverine affects smooth muscle biliary tract, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, and vessels;
  • Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties due to blockade of COX in the central nervous system and inhibitory effects on the thermoregulatory centers and pain;
  • Caffeine, which is part of Pentalgin, tones blood vessels of the brain, causes dilation of the blood vessels of the heart, skeletal muscle and kidney, helps to eliminate the state of drowsiness. As psychostimulant agent caffeine increases the bioavailability of non-narcotic analgesics and increases the permeability of gistogematicheskih barriers, which contributes to the therapeutic effect;
