Gastrotsepin is an anti-ulcer, reducing acid production, gastroprotective (film-forming) agent M1 cholinergic receptor blocker.

Pharmacological action

The active substance gastrotsepin - pirenzepine, which is a selective antagonist of M1-cholinergic receptors localized in parasympathetic nodes of the alimentary canal. Non-selective anticholinergic blocking M1 and M2 cholinergic receptors, not only to reduce the secretion of gastric glands, but also bronchial and salivary glands contribute dilated pupils, increased heart rate, lowering the tone of smooth muscles.

Gastrotsepin as selective anticholinergic, no side effects and is effective directions: reducing emissions of pepsinogen (proenzyme), reduces acid secretion, regulates the motility of the digestive tract, increases the pH level, improves blood flow to the gastric mucosa. Indications

Instructions for use gastrotsepin

Gastrotsepin produced in the form of tablets of 25 or 50 mg and as a solution for injection (2 ml corresponds to 10 mg).

A oral daily dose, according to the instructions gastrotsepina is 50-150 mg. Usually tablets taken twice a day for 30 minutes before a meal to 50 mg. The treatment should not be less than 4-6 weeks, even  Gastrotsepin injection

Intravenous and intramuscular gastrotsepin usually administered in the first 2-3 days of therapy to clinical improvement, then the patient is transferred to the pills.
