Articaine (international name - Articaine) refers to a group of local anesthetic action that relieves pain.
Articaine in dentistry
used as anesthesia before removal and filling of teeth, and for the preparation of oral operations.
Structure and Composition
The main active substance in the composition articaine - articaine hydrochloride 40 mg and 6-12 mg of epinephrine hydrochloride.
Auxiliary components: sodium metabisulfite, sodium chloride, purified water.
Articaine is available in ampoules of 2 ml for subcutaneous injection, placed in a cardboard box of 100 pcs.
Pharmacological action ultrakain
Articaine has analgesic and vasoconstrictor activity and is an effective drug conduction anesthesia. The basic substance in the composition is released articaine in tissues and penetrate the nerve fiber, eliminating pain.
The drug takes effect from the first minutes after the introduction of the skin and its effect lasts for 2-3 hours.
Articaine in dentistry is used as a local anesthetic, which has a minimal risk of side effects. The drug does not slow down the process of regeneration and suspends high blood pressure. Ultrakain excreted through the kidneys in the urine for 5-10 hours.

Instructions for use ultrakain
According to the instructions Ultrakain must be entered under the skin of 5-10 ml. Before the anesthesia the patient must undergo diagnostic

Ultrakain enhances the action of other local analgesics, which contributes to the oppression of the nervous system. The drug should not be used in conjunction with anticoagulants and MAO inhibitors.
Contraindication to articaine are hypersensitivity and intolerance to the components of the drug, hypotension, tachycardia, closure glaucoma type, asthma, renal failure, children up to 4 years.

Side effects ultrakain
Articaine may cause the following side effects:
- the central nervous system - headache, dizziness, unconsciousness, somnolence, tremor, cramps, misty eyes, double vision, confusion and lack of coordination;
- on the part of the cardiovascular system - bradycardia, arrhythmia, sudden drop in blood pressure;
- on the part of the digestive system - nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dyspepsia;
- allergic reactions - urticaria, bronchospasm, angioedema, anaphylactic shock.
